Cleaner air in officesOccupational density can reduce the quality of the air we breathe in our place of work According to an article in Tomorrow's Health & Safety Magazine (page 37), the regulations regarding occupational density and air quality are 'outmoded'. The Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974 states that employees should have 'a sufficient qualntity of fresh or purified air' but not enough information is provided about what is qualified as 'fresh' or 'sufficient'.
The author, Kevin Ager argues that 'most forward thinking organisations are eager to provide workplaces that are as effiicent as possible in order to meet their own environmental targets as well as keeping costs to an absolute minimum. |
